Journey Christian Church
Addition & Renovation – Greeley, Colorado
Mishler was hired as the Design-Build Company to renovate and add-on to the old Cooper Twin Theater as a new 17,000 sq/ft worship facility for Journey Christian Church, in Greeley, Colorado. Several key milestones presented themselves in determining the project schedule. Most notably, the church needed to vacate their current leased facility by Christmas of 2004. This left no more than 5 months to complete the demolition/renovation of the sanctuary and office areas of the project. Careful project planning and phasing allowed us to realize the goal and Journey was able to have Christmas Eve services in their new facility. By finding solutions through a complex scheduling process, Mishler completed the demolition, building addition and renovation, installation of a structural mezzanine and 2,500 lb capacity elevator in just 5 short months!
The Journey at First Baptist Church of Craig
Addition & Renovation – Craig, Colorado
This 12,000-sq/ft Mishler project featured a large sanctuary addition to the existing church located in Craig, Colorado. The project also included new restrooms, kitchen, office space and classrooms. The building is a wood frame and truss structure with a full basement. Mishler was honored to be a partner with the staff and congregation at FBC Craig. Without a doubt, many lives have and will be changed as a result of this ministry endeavor. We feel privileged to have provided a building that will continue to support the ministry efforts of The Journey at First Baptist Church of Craig, well into the future.
Healthcare:
Salud Family Health Centers
New Facility - Commerce City, Colorado
The Salud Commerce City Dental and Medical facility is our sixth new construction project with Salud Family Health Centers and was completed in December of 2009. As a critical participant in the design process, we provided vital input such as cost saving options, constructability, product review, budget and cost estimating. This building is the largest Salud clinic to date. It features both medical and dental wings as well as a large medical records storage facility and a pharmacy. The construction of this health center is one of the most innovative designs that we have had the pleasure of building for Salud. This facility features the latest in Renewable Energy
technology, with a geo-thermal heating system and many distinct architectural elements.
Lake Fork Health District
Addition & Renovation - Lake City, Colorado
Lake Fork Health District is a non-profit health services provider near Gunnison, Colorado. The district, established in 2002, was created with the goal of bringing comprehensive health care services to the residents and visitors of Hinsdale County. The Lake Fork Health District first contacted us in 2007 about the possibility of designing and constructing a new medical and dental facility. At that time we began the process of programming and studying the feasibility of a new clinic to replace the existing one. The existing clinic was rapidly approaching its maximum capacity for the ever-growing patient load in the area. The client acquired land and fund-raising began while the Mishler Design Team was engaged to complete the design for the project. August of 2010 marked the official start of construction, which included the addition of a new 6,910-sq/ft building and a major renovation of the existing clinic. Once completed, the new facility will service the health needs of the surrounding community and will include facilities for medical, dental, public health, emergency services and search/rescue.
Salud Family Health Centers
New Facility - Longmont, Colorado
The Salud Longmont Dental and Medical facility was Mishler's second new construction project for Salud Family Health Centers. Salud has been a longtime valued client of Mishler.
Salud Family Health Centers
New Facility - Frederick, Colorado
The Salud Frederick Dental and Medical facility was our first new construction project for Salud Family Health Centers. As a critical participant in the design process we were able to provide vital input to cost saving options, constructability, product review, budget and cost estimating. The project featured a wood truss/frame structure with standing seam roof panels. Heavy cedar timbers were utilized to give the building the unique mining town design. Exterior finish featured stucco and stone veneer. The interior of the building included a full dental clinic including operatories and a panoramic x-ray area. The medical portion of the clinic included medical exam rooms, laboratories, x-ray and provider offices.

Suncor
New Facility - Commerce City, Colorado
Suncor Refinery, located in the heart of Commerce City, Colorado, is the largest facility of its kind in the Rocky Mountain Region. It produces over 90,000 barrels of oil a day. Over a span of 4 years, Mishler completed multiple projects at the refinery including maintenance shops, electrical switching gear structures, offices and operations facilities. The hazardous work environment at the refinery required much coordination and planning with the refinery operations staff. Our attention to details, as well as our impeccable safety record, gained us the respect and confidence of the refinery staff, along with the reputation for being responsible in our project planning.
Quikrete
New Facility - Arvada, Colorado
The Quikrete Company is a nationally recognized manufacturer of cement and concrete products. In February of 2000, Mishler was contacted to build their new production facility in Denver, Colorado. The building structure was a pre-engineered Butler product and featured a 200' x 200' production/warehouse facility, as well as a 68' tall Mixing Tower. Development of the building site proved to be a challenge. As a former dump site, the property had soil conditions that required the utilization of caissons for the foundation structure. Over 75 concrete caissons, varying in depths exceeding 32 feet were placed on the property prior to the building construction. We were again contacted by Quikrete in July of 2001 to construct a 2,000 SF two-story office structure. The structure was built inside the existing production/warehouse facility and featured a 50' x 40' post tension concrete slab. Construction of the office was completed without interruption to Quikrete's day-to-day production operations.
World-Wide Rental Services
New Facility - Colorado
World-Wide Rental, headquartered in Aurora, Colorado, is an international heavy equipment rental and leasing company. Hired as the Design/Build Company, Mishler constructed a 13,000 sq/ft maintenance facility utilizing a Butler pre-engineered building. This project featured six 25' work-bays, extensive site-work, reinforced concrete, steel railways and an industrial wash-pad area. In 2008, Mishler was called back to construct a 50' addition to the facility including revisions to the site storm water management system and the addition of a 10 ton overhead crane system.

We feel our relationship has developed and strengthened due to Mishler's understanding of the Design-Build process and our willingness to provide solutions to critical issues.
Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers
New Facility - Mead, Colorado
Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers (RBA) is a public traded company on the New York Stock Exchange and have been a valued client of ours since 1990. That year, we constructed their original facility located in Brighton, Colorado. In June of 2004, due to growth in their company, RBA was considering relocating their Colorado site. Mishler Development Brokers contracted with RBA to assist them in identifying potential properties and in August of 2005 we helped them close on the new RBA Mead location. Mishler was selected as their Design/Build company for the project, completing the facility in February 2007. Mishler was heavily involved in all aspects of this $9.2M project including re-zoning, site plan development, re-platting, design, value engineering, site development and finally construction. Teaming with a local architect, we were instrumental in the design of the project providing critical input such as cost saving options, constructability, budget and cost estimating. The Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers project encompasses what it means to Build Strong
through our Five Service Offerings, Fund | Acquire | Plan | Design | Build.
Renovations:
Salud Family Medical Centers
Renovation – Ft. Collins, Colorado
Mishler was approached in early 2004 by Salud inquiring about the possibility of renovating an existing twin T
building in Fort Collins, Colorado. Salud was considering the purchase of the building to house their Fort Collins medical facility. At the same time, several tenants already occupied the building. It was decided that the project was feasible and Salud entered into a contract to purchase the building. In coordinating with Salud and the existing tenants, it was determined that in order to fully utilize the building space, the tenant spaces would have to be relocated. First phase of the project included demolition of several areas of the building, tenant improvement of those areas, installation of a new elevator and finally relocation of the tenants back to the designated tenant space. Second phase of the project was to finish the Salud portion of the clinic while the tenants continued normal business operations. It was imperative that the existing tenants would not experience any interruption in their business operation including noise and dust. Through careful planning and coordination, our unique ability to solve challenges innovatively allowed Mishler to accomplish the goal on time.
Colorado Coalition for the Homeless
Renovation - Denver, Colorado
Mishler was contacted by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless regarding a renovation of the Coalition's Stout Street clinic. The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is a non-profit organization whose mission is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. Once the scope of the renovations was determined, Mishler provided costing for the project and we were hired to complete the renovations. The Stout Street Clinic is located in the heart of downtown Denver and mobilization and staging were a challenge. The challenges continued as it was critical that we not only complete the project quickly, but also that we did not impact the current clinic operations. Through careful planning and phasing Mishler completed the project ahead of schedule and within budget. Throughout the duration of the project Mishler received numerous comments from the Coalition staff regarding our commitment to quality, our ability to complete the project quickly and the minimum impact the project had on their working environment.
Rocky Mountain Christian Church
Renovation - Niwot, Colorado
Mishler completed two renovation projects for Rocky Mountain Christian Church (RMCC) at their Niwot, Colorado campus, in 2007. The first project was the renovation of their existing gym. The scope included the demolition of flooring and partitions, the re-construction of the new gym flooring, construction of a poured concrete stage, under stage storage, locking security gates and new finishes. All of the work was completed while RMCC operations continued, including the operations of the church's school, Rocky Mountain Christian Academy. The second project was the complete renovation of the RMCC bookstore. The owner wanted to renovate the existing bookstore to not only update finishes, but to create a coffee shop type atmosphere. The work included removal of existing ceilings and installation of acoustic "cloud" panels. The project was located in a high traffic area of the church and required attention to noise, dust and traffic control. Mishler's attention to details allowed this project to be completed within budget and within the required time constraints.
Salud Family Medical Centers
Renovation - Brighton, Colorado
The Brighton clinic was our fifth major project for Salud Family Health Centers. It features a complete renovation of the east wing of the old Platte Valley Medical Center. Salud was in the position to accept a grant for a portion of the work and informed us that qualification for the grant was contingent on a portion of the building be occupied by the end of September 2007. With just under two months to renovate the 10,000-sq/ft space, Mishler utilized detailed project scheduling, sub-contractor coordination and phasing to realize this goal. All of this was accomplished in order to turnover that portion of the project to Salud by the required date. Mishler and the Design Team worked hand-in-hand throughout the pre-construction and construction period identifying potential cost saving items, reviewing constructability of the project and providing periodic cost estimate updates. Mishler not only completed the project on time but still within budget.
Spivack Vision Center - Colorado Laser Surgeons
Renovation - Denver, Colorado
August of 2008 Mishler began the renovation of the existing Spivack Vision Center. Spivack Vision Center is a longtime Denver area business and we were excited to be a part of this endeavor. The project was to renovate the existing clinic including the addition of a new canopy entrance into the center. Demolition of existing partitions and ceiling were performed and new partitions and finishes were installed. All construction was completed while keeping the existing clinic in full operation by utilizing phasing and some night/weekend construction hours. Construction was successfully completed in November 2008.
